Northland Jaw-Breaker Spoon – 1/2 oz
When the fish are hiding in the "salad," you need a lure that doesn't just avoid weeds—it conquers them. The Northland Jaw-Breaker Spoon is a legendary weedless topwater and sub-surface performer designed specifically for pulling Trophy Bass, Northern Pike, and Muskie out of the thickest cover.
We currently have the 1/2 oz size in stock, which is widely considered the "sweet spot" weight for long-distance casting and punching through matted vegetation.
Why the Jaw-Breaker Stands Out:
-
Totally Weedless Design: Featuring a unique plastic "Y" weedguard, this spoon slithers through lily pads, milfoil, hydrilla, and wild rice without snagging.
-
Solid Brass Construction: Stamped from solid brass for maximum flash and a heavy-thumping vibration that fish can feel through the weeds.
-
Limber-Legs® Swim'n Skirt: Unlike standard spoons, the Jaw-Breaker features a high-action silicone skirt that provides extra lifelike movement and a larger profile to trigger big strikes.
-
Premium Mustad Hook: Equipped with an ultra-sharp Mustad Ultra-Point hook to ensure that once a fish strikes through the slop, you get a solid hookset.

🎣 Pro Tip: The "Stop and Pop"
The 1/2 oz Jaw-Breaker is perfect for a "stop and pop" retrieve. Cast it deep into a lily pad field and retrieve it just fast enough to keep it on top. When the spoon hits an open pocket of water between the pads, stop your retrieve and let the spoon flutter down for a second.
The Limber-Legs skirt will flare out, mimicking a stunned frog or baitfish. If a predator is following, this is almost always when the "volcano" strike happens. Hold on tight and be ready to haul them out of the thick stuff!
