BKK Spear EWG 71 SS Treble Hooks: Premium Replacement Hardware for Maximum Hookups

Upgrade your crankbaits, jerkbaits, and topwater lures with the BKK Spear EWG 71 SS Treble Hooks. Crafted specifically for hard baits, this 1X-strength treble features an Extra Wide Gap (EWG) design paired with a shorter shank. This compact geometry tucks the hook points tight against the lure body, dramatically reducing snags on shallow cover while preventing your hooks from tangling together during violent casts.

Engineered with BKK’s signature Super Slide (SS) Teflon coating, the Spear EWG 71 SS delivers effortless penetration with minimal line pressure on the hookset. The inward-curved, razor-sharp needle points seat deeply into hard jaws and stay locked in place during acrobatic jumps and heavy surges.

Key Features & Performance Advantages

Pro Tip

Pro Tip: Upgrading factory hooks on shallow-running crankbaits and squarebills with the BKK Spear EWG 71 SS allows you to bounce your lures through heavy timber, rock piles, and laydowns with significantly fewer hangups. The shortened shank keeps the points sheltered behind the lure bill, turning your favorite hard bait into a cover-deflecting powerhouse.
