Castaway 6' Wacky Worm Special Baitcaster Combo: Pre-Spooled In-House Rig with Daiwa Aird 80H & Fins XS Braid

Hand-assembled and balanced by our in-house tackle specialists, this custom ready-to-fish package pairs the pinpoint accuracy of the Castaway 6' Wacky Worm Special with the smooth cranking power of the Daiwa Aird 80H baitcasting reel. To get you on the water faster, we have professionally line-spooled each reel right off our bench with 140 yards of 15 lb Fins XS Green Braided Line, delivering zero-stretch sensitivity and clean line lay straight out of the shipping tube.

Engineered specifically around skipping docks, peppering overhanging brush, and presenting soft plastics along shallow weedlines, the 6-foot length gives you surgical cast placement where longer rods struggle. Paired with the solid frame, reliable drag stack, and high-speed ratio of the Daiwa Aird 80H, this setup delivers instant hook penetration on subtle drops and the backbone to turn bass away from heavy wood.

Pro Tip

Pair with an 8-to-12 lb Fluorocarbon Leader for Clear Water: While the pre-spooled 15 lb Fins XS braid provides all the hook-driving power and sensitivity you need, tying on a 4-to-6 foot leader of supple fluorocarbon via a streamlined connection knot will make your weightless presentation completely invisible to line-shy bass. Because this 6-foot blank is tuned specifically for low-trajectory roll casting, keep your leader knot outside the reel's levelwind before casting to maintain maximum skip distance under low docks and pontoon boats.
