ERC Jig-A-Beast™: The Ultimate Versatile Swim Jig

When the bite turns tough or you need to probe the depths with surgical precision, the ERC Jig-A-Beast™ is the answer. Designed for maximum versatility, this isn't just a vertical jig; it’s a high-performance swim jig that can be burned over weed tops, crawled through timber, or traditional lift-jigged along deep breaklines.

The Jig-A-Beast features a unique, plump profile created by its seductively flowing skirt and a durable swim shad trailer. Outfitted with a heavy-duty weedguard and a rock-solid painted head, it’s built to go exactly where the big fish hide—right into the thick of the cover. We stock both the 1 oz and 1 1/2 oz models to ensure you have the right weight for every depth and wind condition.

Performance Features

  • Multi-Presentation Mastery: Effective for everything from "burning" just under the surface to deep-water vertical jigging and even trolling.

  • Weedless Performance: The heavy-duty fiber weedguard allows you to "grind" through heavy vegetation and timber without constant snagging.

  • Full Body Profile: The combination of a high-quality skirt and a soft plastic swim shad creates a massive underwater signature that calls out to pressured predators.

  • The "Figure 8" Finisher: Unlike many jigs, the Jig-A-Beast is balanced to track perfectly during a figure-eight, making it a deadly tool for converting boatside followers.

💡 Pro Tip

To keep your swim shad trailer from sliding down the hook during aggressive "burns" or when ripping through weeds, use the "Toothpick Trick." Simply slide your plastic trailer onto the jig, then push a round toothpick through the plastic and the eye of the hook (or just behind the lead collar). Clip both ends flush with the plastic. This "pins" the trailer in place, allowing it to survive dozens of casts and even a few fish strikes without shifting.
