Gapen Panfish Float – The Ultimate Long-Distance Finesse Tool
Experience the unmatched sensitivity of a European-style waggler combined with American durability in the Gapen Panfish Float. Imported from Hungary and constructed with premium South American balsa wood, these floats are designed for anglers who need to cast long distances while detecting the faintest of bites from panfish, perch, and walleye.
Product Overview
The Gapen Panfish Float is widely considered one of the finest balsa floats on the market. Its unique design features a tough fiberglass stem that runs through the body, providing incredible strength and stability in the wind. The standout feature is the patented Slip-N-Lock device, which allows you to switch between a slip float and a fixed float in seconds without ever cutting your line or removing your terminal tackle.

We stock the larger, high-performance sizes of this series, perfect for reaching distant weed edges or fishing in windy conditions:

Model Comparison Guide
| Model | Length | Best Application | Species |
| Gapen 9 1/2" | 9.5 Inches | Long-distance casting in moderate winds. | Crappie, Jumbo Perch, Walleye |
| Gapen 11" | 11 Inches | Maximum distance and stability in heavy chop. | Large Perch, Walleye, Bass |
🎣 Pro Tip: The "Slip-N-Lock" Versatility
To use these as a slip float, simply pull the sleeve down slightly over the side slot. To lock it as a fixed float, pull the sleeve all the way down to the end of the device. If you're fishing in windy conditions with the 11" model, try "burying" your rod tip in the water and giving the reel a few quick turns after the cast; this sinks your line below the surface tension, preventing the wind from creating a "bow" in your line and pulling your float out of the strike zone.
