Kalin's Tickle Worm 4"

The Kalin's Tickle Worm is a finesse worm designed with a unique "tickle" tail featuring multiple soft tentacles. These tentacles create a soft, pulsating vibration and a constant flickering motion that fish can detect even in still water. Built with a slender, salt-impregnated body, this worm offers a perfect balance of durability and lifelike texture, making it a high-percentage lure for bass, walleye, and large panfish.

Best Ways to Rig the Tickle Worm

  • The Ned Rig: Rig it on a mushroom-style jig head. The tentacles flare out as the bait sits on the bottom, providing a subtle, defensive look that triggers strikes when traditional Ned baits are ignored.

  • The Wacky Rig: Hook the worm through the center. On the fall, both ends—especially the tentacled tail—shimmer and vibrate, creating a dual-action presentation that is lethal around docks and overhanging brush.

  • The Drop Shot: Use a small finesse hook to keep the worm horizontal. The ultra-sensitive tail moves with the slightest current or rod twitch, making it ideal for targeting suspended fish in clear water.

Fishing Tips for Success

  • The "Quiver" Retrieve: Instead of big hops, use very small, rapid shakes of the rod tip. This causes the tail tentacles to "tickle" and vibrate intensely while the main body remains relatively stable.

  • Slow-Drag Presentation: Drag the worm slowly across the bottom on a light jig head. The tentacles will kick up small amounts of debris and flutter as they move over rocks and sand, mimicking a crawling invertebrate.

  • Weightless Surface Twitch: In shallow, weedy areas, rig the Tickle Worm weightless and twitch it near the surface. The tail creates a subtle surface disturbance and a unique silhouette that attracts cruising fish in the shallows.
