Musky Innovations Magnum Shallow Invader – 11"
When you need the profile of a magnum crankbait combined with the fluid, lifelike movement of a soft plastic, the Musky Innovations Magnum Shallow Invader is the ultimate hybrid. This 11-inch "super-sized" version of the original Invader features a hard-plastic diving head paired with a replaceable soft-plastic tail, creating a unique "broken-back" action that big muskies find impossible to ignore.
Designed specifically for working over the tops of shallow weed beds, rock reefs, and timber, the Magnum Shallow Invader stays in the upper water column where predators are looking to ambush prey. Its erratic, wide-wobbling head movement combined with the high-frequency ripple of the tail makes it a top-tier choice for both casting and shallow-water trolling.
Why the Magnum Shallow Invader is a Trophy Essential:
-
Hard-Head/Soft-Tail Hybrid: The hard-plastic front provides the durability and dive-lip precision of a crankbait, while the soft-plastic rear adds the natural texture and "kick" of a real fish.
-
Shallow-Water Dominance: Perfectly weighted to run in the 2- to 4-foot range (depending on line length and speed), making it the king of the "shallows."
-
Massive 11" Profile: Offers a high-calorie target for giant Musky and Northern Pike, moving enough water to be noticed even in wind-whipped or stained conditions.
-
Aggressive Vibration: The wide wobbling action creates a heavy displacement that calls fish in from long distances and triggers aggressive reaction strikes.

💡 Pro Tip: The "Twitch-and-Rise"
Because the Magnum Shallow Invader is buoyant, it excels at a "twitch-and-rise" retrieve. Give the rod tip a few sharp snaps to drive the bait down into the pockets of weed edges, then pause. The bait will slowly float back toward the surface while the soft tail continues to quiver. This "struggling" ascent often triggers the most violent strikes of the day.
Note: The Magnum Shallow Invader features a replaceable tail system. If the tail becomes damaged after a battle with a monster, you can easily swap it out to keep the lure perfectly balanced and ready for the next cast.
