Okuma Alaris Spinning Reel | ALS-20 & ALS-30
Experience smooth performance and modern design without breaking the bank. The Okuma Alaris Spinning Reel features a corrosion-resistant graphite body and a multi-disc, Japanese oiled felt drag system that provides the fluid line release needed to handle hard-running fish.
While Okuma has shifted focus toward newer series in recent years, the Alaris remains a highly sought-after "workhorse" for its reliability and Cyclonic Flow Rotor technology. This unique rotor design creates a "cyclonic" airflow that significantly increases air circulation around the internal components with every turn of the handle, allowing for much faster drying time if the reel gets wet—minimizing corrosion and extending the life of your gear.
Key Features
-
Cyclonic Flow Rotor (CFR): Increases airflow through the ported rotor, drying the reel faster and protecting internal components.
-
4BB + 1RB Drive System: Stainless steel ball bearings provide a smooth retrieve and long-term durability.
-
Rigid Metal Handle: Provides extra strength and reduces flex when cranking under pressure.
-
LCS Line Control Spool: Specially contoured spool lip reduces friction during the cast for greater distance and accuracy.
-
Even Flow Roller System: Reduces line twist by rolling freely over the line roller without friction.
Available Models
-
ALS-20: The perfect size for trout, panfish, and light-finesse bass applications.
-
ALS-30: A versatile "all-around" size, ideal for bass, walleye, and larger freshwater species.

💡 Pro Tip
To keep your spinning reel performing like new, avoid leaning your rod against a truck or a fence where the reel can touch the ground. Dirt and fine sand are the "gearkillers" of spinning reels. If you do get sand inside the ALS-20 or 30, don't try to power through it; rinse it gently with fresh water and apply a single drop of reel oil to the main shaft to maintain that signature Okuma smoothness.
