Water Gremlin Rubber Core Sinker (PRC)
The Water Gremlin Rubbercor® Sinker is a legendary piece of fishing history, first developed in 1949. Renowned for its simplicity and effectiveness, the Rubbercor® is designed to take your bait exactly where the fish are biting without the hassle of traditional weights.
The genius of this design lies in its ease of use: just give the rubber ears a half-twist in opposite directions, and the sinker is securely locked onto your line. When you're ready to change your setup, simply twist the ears back to their original position. There is no tying, no pinching, no fuss, and no mess.
Important Inventory Note:
Limited Supply: Water Gremlin has officially gone out of business, and these iconic sinkers have been discontinued. Once our remaining stock in Eagle River or online is gone, they will no longer be available. Grab yours now before they disappear forever.
Why It’s a Classic:
-
Line Protection: Your line is fully protected by the soft rubber core inside the lead sleeve, preventing the nicks and weak spots caused by crimp-on weights.
-
Ultra-Gentle: Safe to use even on the lightest monofilament lines, making it a favorite for finesse setups and panfishing.
-
Quick Adjustments: Change your depth or weight in seconds without cutting your line or re-tying your rig.
-
Original 1949 Design: The time-tested standard for rubber-core sinkers that anglers have trusted for generations.
Pro Tip:
When fishing in areas with heavy submerged timber or weeds, place the Rubbercor® 12 to 18 inches above your hook. If the sinker gets snagged, the rubber grip often allows the sinker to slide down the line or pop off under pressure, frequently saving your entire rig and hook from being lost.
